Job Description
The Manager IT ensures the smooth functioning of all PHIMC software systems. He would be able to ensure smooth running under the constraints of requirements and specifications, cost, and timelines, concerning the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT and software. His other work involves strategic planning of the IT environment, managing of staff, and budgets relating to IT.
Job Responsibilities
As a Manager IT at PHIMC, you will be expected to:
- Manage Software Development and Deployment: Supervise the development and implementation of different software products used by the organization.
- Software Solutions Evaluation: You need to evaluate various software solutions for the best selection suited for the organizational need and goals.
- Improvement in Employee Productivity: Apply IT software that ensures enhancement in company-wide employees’ performance and productivity
- IT Strategic Planning: Work with the Director IT to develop and launch strategic IT plans in a way that supports the corporation’s long-term vision and goals.
- Staff Management and Training: Manage the employees within the IT section. Recruitment, training, as well as coaching the employee; job expectations; appraisals of the performance with the guidance of the Director IT are ensured.
- Information Security and Budget Control: Maintaining the information security control structure as well as budget appropriation by keeping it efficient about the cost.
- System Audits and Software Implementation: Maintain an internal audit that ensures effective results of all implemented software solutions, from data protection through network access and also performing backups.
- Recruitment of Development Teams: Gauging and managing development team performance with the hire of departmental staff at intervals.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Degree Level: Masters/Bachelors (Hons) – 16 years of education.
- Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Management Information Systems.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT management and software systems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
